Tucked in the shadow of where the Twin Towers once stood, O'Hara's Pub has been a sanctuary for first responders since before the world changed. Following September 11, 2001, this corner of lower Manhattan became ground zero not just for tragedy — but for brotherhood.
In the months and years that followed, firefighters, police officers, and military personnel began arriving at Ohara's from across the country and around the world. They came to pay their respects, they stayed for the company, and over 7,000 of them left something meaningful behind. A patch.
A simple patch. Stapled to the wall. A piece of who they are, left in a place that understands.
Today, O'Hara's walls tell the story of tens of thousands of those who serve — a living, breathing memorial built one staple at a time.
Come. Be a part of OUR crowd.
Fire departments. Police precincts. Military units. From New York to New Zealand.
Bring yours when you visit. We've got a stapler.
CyArk has digitally preserved O'Hara's Pub in stunning 3-D — capturing every patch, every corner, every piece of history on these walls for generations to come. A living memorial, preserved forever.
